This weekend, we, intrepid young men of The Afternoon Round, are staging an assault. For too long we have sat timid in Ypsilanti, only stepping gingerly into the boundaries of our big hulking brother to the East.  It is time to let Detroit know that, though our home is small, our hooks are huge.

The attack will begin at The New Dodge, a tavern in the Polish enclave of Hamtramk, at the peak of the perennial festival known to natives as "The Metro-times Blowout." Here, we will unleash such a maelstrom of melody and rhythm that no man, woman, or child present will be able to vanquish our tunes from their brains, nor will they want to. After our set we will take part in festivities, enjoying the music of our comrades Doop and The Inside Outlaws while hopefully satiating our kielbasa cravings.

On Saturday, we will boldly march into Detroit proper where we will set up camp with our fellow agents of the popular song, Allison Lewis & String of Ponies at The Lager House. All you denizens of this storied public house beware: we will show no mercy. Ours is a mission of attrition, and any who thinks they can withstand the relentless onslaught of catchy tunes in our arsenal is sorely mistaken. 

All you loyal fans of The Afternoon Round, unite! Join us in our siege! 

Tickets to The Blowout are $20, but that gets you access to all shows throughout this awesome week long festival. We will be playing around 10:00 on Friday. On Saturday the show is but a paltry $5 and it starts at 10:00.
